Founded in 1970, Cornerstone is one of LA's most established music schools, offering summer programs where kids explore instruments including piano, voice, strings, guitar, ukulele, brass, woodwinds, and drums. Their proven curriculum spans from introductory music classes for young children through advanced college-prep instruction, with group and private options. Kids play instruments for three hours daily alongside music theory, ensemble rehearsals, and weekly Friday performances for families. The sequential curriculum helps beginners and experienced players alike progress rapidly, with many campers achieving in one summer what typically takes one to two years in school music programs.
